DuPage dominance furthers dynasty in Region 4
BRISTOL, ILL. - The College of DuPage men's golf team completely dominated the rest of the field at the 2026 Region 4 Division III Men's Golf Tournament at Blackberry Oaks Golf Club on May 3-4. The Chaparrals won their seventh consecutive region crown with a 621 team score over the two-day event, resulting in a 25th region title overall and 14th under head coach Jason Hyatt, who earned yet another Region 4 Coach of the Year award. Sophomore Nathan Kwiatkowski was the 2026 Region 4 Golfer of the Year with a 36-hole total of five-over-par 149.
2026 Region 4 Division III Men's Golf Tournament Final Results
The College of DuPage sent an early statement as the defending champs posted a 302 after the opening 18 holes to lead Rock Valley College by 32 strokes. The Chaparrals used a 319 to close out the win, while the Golden Eagles were runner-up at 657.
Kwiatkowski and teammate Matthew Sims were neck-and-neck with two-over 74s as they led the tournament after Round 1. Kwiatkowski kept his foot on the gas and signed off on a three-over 75 to take medalist honors by five shots over Dietrich Bethge of Rock Valley College at 154 (77-77). Sims was third with a 156, followed by teammates Patrick Davis and Kyrin Abella in fourth at 157 and fifth at 159, respectively.
Joliet Junior College's Rylan Megyeri was sixth with a 161 and defending Region 4 medalist Logan Garafol of Rock Valley College turned in a 166 to secure seventh place.
DuPage will represent the region at the 2026 NJCAA Division III Men's & Women's Golf Championships at Chautauqua Golf Course in Chautauqua, New York, from June 3-6.
