Madison rides undefeated season to first Region 4 championship

MADISON, WISC. - With each victory, the Madison College men's soccer team knew something special was building in 2025, and it culminated with the program's first Region 4 championship after a 2-0 defeat of Triton College in the finals. Madison College opened the postseason with a 2-0 quarterfinal victory over #8-seeded College of DuPage, and then blitz #4-seeded Elgin Community College with a 5-0 decision in the semifinals. WICHITA, KANS. - Madison College was unable to earn a win at the 2025 NJCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championships; however, they certainly showed they belonged on the same pitch as some of the top programs in the nation. As the #9 seed, the WolfPack squared off with #4-seeded CCBC Essex in their Pool D opener. Despite falling behind 3-0 in the first half, Madison regrouped and rallied with second half goals from Justyn Blair and Dan Fox to make it a 3-2 differential with over 17 minutes left. In the end, they couldn't overcome the early hole even though they outshot the eventual national runners-up by a 13-4 margin.

In need of a win in their second game, the WolfPack controlled the action for most of the match against defending national champion and #5-seeded Northeast Community College. Following a scoreless regulation that did feature a disallowed goal due to offsides called on Madison, the teams went to overtime. The WolfPack appeared to score another goal just before the horn at the end of the first overtime, but the referees never ruled the ball over the goalline. In the match's 106', the Hawks were able to deflect a ball into the goal off a corner kick for the golden goal and a 1-0 win in double overtime. Madison College finished the year with a 18-2-1.
