DuPage makes it five straight NJCAA titles, Region 4 secures top three positions

UTICA, N.Y. - At this point, it is nearly becoming a foregone conclusion after the College of DuPage laid claim to its fifth consecutive NJCAA Division III Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship on May 8-10, giving the Chaparrals nine titles since 2002 and the 14th by a Region 4 program in that same time span. Following DuPage's 195.0 points atop the tournament standings, Harper College was runner-up with 129.0 points after edging out third place Joliet Junior College at 119.0 points. Triton College was 18th overall with 3.0 points. The US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) named JJC's Nathan Ciarlette and COD's William Kallas the Men's Track and Men's Field Athletes of the Year, respectively. 2025 NJCAA Division III Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championships Final Results

The College of DuPage's run to the national title in 2025 was bolstered by five gold medal winning performances, which included Sterling Sawicki in the hammer throw, Kallas in the pole vault, Weston White in the 100-meter and 200-meter runs, and the 4x100 relay. The Chaps also picked up points with top three finishes in ten other events.

Harper College found its way to the top of the podium in two events, with Prince Ellington breaking the tape in the 110-meter hurdles and the 4x400 bringing home gold. Ciarlette dominated the long distance races with victories in the 800-meter, 1,500-meter, and 5,000-meter runs, while also being a key member of the Wolves championship 4x800 team. Collin Dames added a gold medal in shot put for JJC.
