DuPage repeats as NJCAA champions

UTICA, N.Y. - The College of DuPage successfully defended its crown with a repeat NJCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship, marking the program's eight national title overall. The Chaparrals amassed 142.5 points to edge runner-up Mineral Area Community College by ten points. Joliet Junior College was third with 105.5 points, followed by Harper College in fourth with 72.0 points. Triton College finished with six points to complete the representation of Region 4 at the national meet. Mallory Dominguez was named NJCAA Coach of the Year.

The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has released its list of All-Americans for the 2025-26 spring sports season and 71 student-athletes representing Region 4 were recognized. The group includes 49 from men's and women's track & field, nine in men's and women's golf, eight from baseball, and five in softball. There are 20 first team recipients, 25 second team honorees, 23 third team selections, and three honorable mention distinctions. The student-athletes represent ten Region 4 institutions.
Region 4 Hall of Fame welcomes seven-member Class of 2026 for induction

The NJCAA Region 4 Hall of Fame is pleased to announce a seven-member induction Class of 2026. The group includes four student-athletes and three lifetime achievement recipients that all excelled during their time competing in or representing Region 4. The inductees represent six different Region 4 schools, including two inductees from Oakton College and one each from Waubonsee Community College, South Suburban College, Madison College, Harry S. Truman College, and Harper College.

The group includes 66 from men's and women's track & field, ten in women's golf, seven from baseball, six in softball, three from men's golf, and two in men's tennis. There are 35 first team recipients, 31 second team honorees, four third team selections, and 22 honorable mention distinctions. The student-athletes represent 13 Region 4 institutions.
DuPage ends Harper's reign with first NJCAA national title since 2022

UTICA, N.Y. - The College of DuPage claimed their seventh NJCAA Division II Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship and their third in the last five years with a dominating effort on May 8-10. The Chaparrals amassed 174.0 points to distance themselves from two-time defending national champion Harper College, who took home runner-up honors with 95.0 points. Joliet Junior College was fifth with 63.0 points and Triton College's 18.0 points placed them 13th to complete another impressive showing by Region 4 at the national level. The US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) named DuPage sophomore Ellie Logsdon the Division III Female Track Athlete of the Year and Mallory Dominguez as the National Women's Coach of the Year.
TITLE DEFENDED: Harper repeats with 2024 NJCAA Division III Track & Field title

UTICA, NY - Defending champions Harper College led a strong contingent of Region 4 teams and student-athletes, and came away with a repeat championship at the 2024 NJCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships from May 9-11. The Hawks racked up 194.0 total points to finish ahead of national runner-up College of DuPage with 123.0 points. Joliet Junior College placed sixth with 48.5 points, while Triton College was tied for 17th with 8.0 points. The championship is the third for Harper College, who also won in 2011 and 2023.

Harper runs to second NJCAA national championship as Region 4 dominates the field

UTICA, NEW YORK - Every where you looked during the 2023 NJCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships from May 11-13, athletes from Region 4 programs were dominating the competition. The end result: a second national championship for Harper College and top three finishes for the College of DuPage and Joliet Junior College, as well as numerous individual awards. The Hawks claimed first title since 2011 with 138.5 points, with the two-time defending champion Chaparrals in second at 96.0 points and the Wolves in third with 77.0 points.

SWEET SPRING: DuPage wins men's, women's national T&F championships, places top four in men's golf & tennis

It was an unbelievable spring to be wearing Forest Green around Glen Ellyn, Illinois. The College of DuPage, which already claimed a football national championship back in the fall, capped the 2021-22 athletic calendar with a quartet of national tournament qualifiers and two more championship banners. The men's and women's track programs both successfully defended their 2021 national titles with first place finishes at the NJCAA Division III Men's & Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Troy, New York, from May 12-14, marking the third time in school history they have won championships in the same year. In addition, the Chaparrals' men's golf team finished third at the NJCAA Division III Golf Championships in Chautauqua, New York, from June 7-10, and the COD men's tennis squad generated a fourth-place finish at the NJCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championships in Oxford, Georgia, from May 13-15.

NJCAA cancels 2020 spring seasons, winter championships
